PRICING AND SIZES
Below you’ll find prices for some standard sized portraits with a plain background. Portraits are delivered unframed. For a custom quote for an irregular or larger size please get in touch. Adding a detailed background will cost extra but I will need to discuss this with you in order to give you a quote. Prices do not include taxes, packaging and shipping. We will provide these cost before ordering.
A deposit of 50% of the total is required with the signed contract which will hold your place in the artist’s schedule. The remainder is due upon acceptance of the completed portrait. Payment will be made by secure online process.

COMMISSION PROCESS
I have worked to simplify the process of commissioning your portrait so location is not a factor. Just follow the steps below and please contact me with any questions. If you are located in the area this process can be handled in person. Contact me and we’ll set up a time to meet and discuss your portrait.

1. Review the Portraits gallery and price list above to get an idea of the type of portrait you would like.

2. Select the image(s) you are considering for your portrait and send us an email with your thoughts and attach all images.

3. When your information is received I will contact you by phone to discuss your portrait. We will review the image(s) you have selected and discuss the pose and portrait size.

4. I will email you a PDF document of the final image agreed upon showing the proportion and cropping of the image to be used for the portrait. At this time you will also receive the final Portrait Contract that will include your final cost and payment terms.

5. Print the contract PDF, sign and email back. 50% deposit will be due and can be paid online. This will hold your place in our schedule and I will email you to verify receipt and provide an expected completion date.

6. When the portrait is completed I email you a proof of the finished portrait for review. I will send the remaining balance plus shipping/packaging cost. When your final payment is received, I will ship your portrait to you.
Reference Photos
All portraits are done drawn from high quality digital photos. Photographs should be clear and taken in natural light when possible. When taking your photograph, try to get a good close-up photo of your subject. The higher the resolution, quality and clearness of your photo, the more detail I will be able to pick up. Don't worry about the background, I will ignore unless you have one you want included at an additional cost. You may send multiple poses if you have trouble deciding and I can help with choosing the best quality image or pose.

Digital images should be 300 dpi or higher and in JPEG or TIFF formats and can be emailed. If files size is too large for email we will make other arrangements for delivery. I can also work from large (8x10) prints such as school or professional photographs. I'm also available to take the photographs for your portrait for an additional fee.
